Initially, in high school many many years ago it was probably late Beatles like Revolver and Abbey Road, Led Zeppellin, the Police and yes select Fleetwood Mac. Once I really got into it many years later then Clapton and BB King became the inspirations.

I was walking down the street listening to Led Zeppelin on my MP3 player and realized I should get a guitar and learn how to play.

LOL, when I was a kid listening to Led Zepplin there weren't any portable music playing devices except for 9V am radios. Imagine trying to walk down the street hauling an 8 track player with 6 D batteries and tapes? LOL

Oh yeah, I walked to school in the snow up hill both ways.

One of my friends.

I figured "If he can do it, I certainly should be able to."

George Harrison, Mike Nesmith, Mason Williams, my uncle Bob.

Although it would be equally true to say that nobody inspired me: I was so fascinated with guitars as objects as with music in general from the time I was 6 or 7 that it was inevitable that I'd end up a guitar player. I was born to it, and I would have been a guitar player even if I'd never seen anybody else play one.
