My friend had a thunderverb 50 head from orange. It has very nice clean tones. It has good drive too but not for me :D

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I've gassed for the tiny terror, I played it at guitarcenter,
sounded great . The dark terror is cool because it has a effects loop.
but the gain knob actually increases a lot to metal territory.
Oh yeah, they hav the 7 watt fx too

im thinking of getting one of the newer `micro terror` little heads. Can get it with a matching little baby cab and it actually sounds great for such a cute lil practice amp, really not a gimmick amp. If the youtube reviews are to be believed then you can plug it into a 4x12 and it behaves like its bigger cousins.

Think they go for £160 as a pair, so a pretty cheap way to dip your toes into the waters of orange and see if you like it.....

For me im still unconvinced, but my curoisity is piqued, so its what i plan to do. Sometimes i think the orange distortion is to die for, other times it just doesnt come close to the marshall sound i love. Havent ever been able to work out why though... Think it was a thunderverb that i saw a band using recently in london and the guy told me it comes with a built in power attenuator so you can get the pumped up sounds at lower volumes, pretty swanky.

You can find racists in board rooms and churches as well. Everywhere. But it makes us feel good to pigeon-hole things. :)
