I like the natural back much better than the red stain they use on most LP's. That's one of the reasons I want a Trad Pro in Honeyburst. It also has the natural back. Enjoy it, as I know you will.

"Natural back"?

Have you ever seen a piece of mahogany "in the raw"?

It's a very light-colored lumber, much like beech or poplar.

Gibson does stain the mahogany components of its Les Paul bodies -- they are not "natural".

My favourite finish for a Les Paul - there's something just delectably classy about a gold top.

They're using a light stain on it -- likely to even out the color texture.

Here's mahogany "in the raw"......

Okay, I like the lightly stained back on that gold top. Most guys on the LP forums refer to that as a natural back, so you've got a heap of correcting to do Arjay.

Bluestratone...that is one fine looking Les Paul. Make sure you crank it up and play some blues on that thing!

Thanks for the comments.
Smiling away, went to a buddy's house,
Had a few magic hat #9 (really good beer, 5.1% alcohol)
Threw a little jam, had a great time.
