On a side note, could I ask how those of you with the modeling guitar apps, how do you connect your guitars to the ipads? I have heard of several ways, but some apparently have very low quality as well as feedback issues :D

I have an iRig and the quality isn't very good at all. It is better than a kick in the face but not by much. I have not seen them but, from what I have seen of the videos posted to youtube, the Apogee Jam or the Line 6 Mobile in are supposed to be much better. Hopefully someone with access to one of these will post....

I started with an iRig and it works okay but when trying to feed out into a computer it was just too noisy. I asked my Sweetwater rep about them and he said that the ones that plugged into the dock (instead of headphone out) got quieter transfers. I'm using this Griffin one now and it seems fine for me :

The Apogee is top quality, but I didn't need that for song ideas. Here are a few more and they seem to be coming out at a rapid pace :

I've found feedback to be a problem, but I found this setting to switch it off. It sounds much better without it now..

OK thanks very much-I've been looking into this for a while but have heard many different reports of the different devices. I might go for the Griffin :D
