Because it's so easy to do, and because I need to get to work soon, here's a copy of my Facebook post from Sunday.

" This is old news for some by now, but The Mojo Roots won in the final round for the Blues Society Of The Ozarks IBC competition at Nathan P. Murphy's in Springfield, Mo. last night. We will now be sponsored by the BSO for the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee in late Jan. 2013. We're gonna play on Beale Street!! Woo-hoo!! "

We are quite excited and really looking forward to going to Memphis. Even if we're blown out of the water in the first round, winning that local event will get us into some more area festivals and bigger blues clubs in KC and St. Louis. 8) :D

Very cool! I'll be up there too playing with my band (tentatively called Texas 99) in the youth showcase. Maybe we'll get the chance to open for ya'll. :)

Thanks for the strokes ya'll. Memphis is gonna be a blast and we'll get to hear some good bands as well.
TexasGS - maybe we'll run into each other. I'll keep a lookout for your band.

You have to post a YouTube clip, or it never happened. :)
Good luck. Sounds like fun.

Here's a photo of the Springfield contest. Each band only had 25 minutes and I felt lucky to get any photos at all. I'm the handsome one in the background.

We'll have pics of the IBC for sure - vids, maybe.
We have footage on You Tube that friends have put up in the past, but none with really good sound quality. Since then we've decided to ask these friends to send the vids to us for approval before posting on the internet. Poor sound quality just stinks, period!
If you wanta hear some of our original songs, you can check out our web site at http://www.themojoroots.com and hear our 2010 CD. Our next CD is due to be released late this year or early 2013.
:)

Here's another pic from the contest.
