Real happy to be getting on stage with my band again after being absent most of this year due to work schedule. Hard to gig when you work overnights thursday through sunday. :(
looking forward to a great night with some really cool people, and playing some good music. Hoping soon my schedule will change, but for now I'll just have to take a vacation night here and there to stay involved, but i sure do miss it.

So you doing Monster Mash then???

HA!

I haven't been gigging (by choice) in a few years. I just got tired of always being the one to "sweat the details", everyone else would just "show up"... Finally said, enough..

I was at a memorial/tribute concert last weekend for a good friend who passed March 2011, I was told to "bring an axe" so was able to get up and jam for a bout 20 minutes with a whole host of awesome players. It was fun, and now, I'm thinking I should take another crack at it.

Have a blast!

Actually this will be the 4th year we've played this same club for Halloween, and yes each year we "relearn" Monster Mash just for the show! Crowd seems to like it, so it has become a sort of tradition, even though the first time was what we thought was a joke....go figure

I hear ya, did a few halloweenies with my brother-in law, his work always put one on, so we'd do a pickup band for it. The keyboard player could not sing that song with out trying to do the Dracula impersonation... "What ever happened to the Transylvania twist" I guess you gotta do what you gotta do....

Halloween gigs are cool. I did a "kids with cancer" volunteer gig
for a few years, but now they're using a DJ. It's a relative of one
of the program's directors. We used to play for free. I've heard that
he's getting paid...oh well. :?
