I've been playing around in open g for about two months now, and past the standard stones licks, pentatonic scales, and major chords, I don't know much, and I've been playing guitar for too long not to know that I'm missing out. Any tips/tricks/licks in open G with or without a slide are greatly appreciated.

there are sites dedicated to open tunings which I find useful when trying to find chords that are not so obvious. what i've found is that most of the "tricks" used in standard tuning like hammer-ons,pull-offs,slides and bends, arpeggios all work just as well in open tunings...as well as partial chords where you can let those open strings ring out. :wink:
