Well I've finally bit the bullet and put my beloved little Blonde Blues Jr. up for sale.I'm selling it because my Missus figured that the $625 + taxes on the Vox AC-15 was more than she was expecting to spend on my Christmas gift.Even though I love the Blues Jr.,the AC-15s and 30s have been my dream amps since Feb. 9,1964,and where I play almost all Beatles or Hendrix stuff-I have my Marshalls for Hendrix-the Vox would be the logical choice.Anyway I'm sure to be buying another Blues Jr. some day down the road.

Nah .... Get a DRRI when the time comes. Or even a real DR if you can afford it. You've found the perfect reason to rid yourself of the BJ. Don't look a gifthorse in the mouth. This is how God works. He steers us to the better things in life. It's our job to pay attention to these little tidbits of luck, intelligence and inspiration. You are not supposed to be a BJ owner. You are blessed even if you don't know it yet.

... and I'm not even a religious man ....

My 2¢.

I got an offer from a guy to swap my Blues Jr. even trade for his 40W Hot Rod Deluxe, but I passed. My old '69 Fender Bassman with the '68 "driprail" 2-15 Bassman cabinet is an incredible blues and 60's rock amp, especially when used with my Ibanez DM-1000 digital delay, which gives a really lush reverb or slapback echo,so I'd still have a fabulous blues amp.

I've had my heart set on an AC-15 or AC-30 since Feb. 9,1964 so I believe that the time to get one is long overdue.Even though my Vox AD-120-VTH with the 4-12 BN Vox cabinet has model settings that pretty well nail the sound of the AC-15 and 30 (as well as the Deluxe Reverb) at over 150 lbs it's asking for trouble with my bad back(spinal fusion) and bad ticker (Atrial Fibrillation).I'll be getting another Blues Jr. along the way,so this is only a stopgap measure.

Time for an update-I sold my Blues Jr. this evening,so now I'll be off to Reid Music to pay a big downpayment on my AC-15.I can't wait for Christmas to come-I'll most definitely be Rockin' around the Christmas tree.

You had to know a thread like this would have the BJ mockers coming out of the woodwork.
