Hello folks.

I have been playing guitar (Telecaster) for about a year now.

Does anyone know if there are Youtube sites that have rythym guitar tracks so I can
practice solos on?

I do not have any fancy equipment other than my 20 watt Crate amp.

I tried looking things on Youtube...and all I got was guitar tutorial stuff.

Thanks

I'm sure there are... did you try searching things like "backing track", "rhythm track", "jam track", "practice track", and so on?

I don't know of any places specifically to look, but I do know that there are plenty of those types of tracks out there, and many of them for free. You might try a google search too, perhaps there's an MP3 site or something... most of the tracks like you're talking about on youtube will be over a static image anyway, not any sort of accompanying video. Just keep searching, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. I'll repost the question elsewhere for you too, I may have other interweb friends who are familiar with backing tracks and where to find them. :D

No problem! If those searches don't turn up anything good, let me know... And if they do, feel free to share links here, for the rest of us!

Happy hunting! :)

http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/ is always a good one if you're looking for specific songs to jam to rather than basic tracks.

They're a bit hit and miss (and sometimes hilariously bad - there's a 'Little Wing' one in particular which every time the drum fills happened, I couldn't help but stop playing and laugh!), but some of them are really decent quality with live instruments and vocals.
