Here is a time lapse I made using my DSLR: :D

Haverstraw, New York
Snow storm started 8:00pm on 1/11/2011 and ended around 8:00am 1/12/2011. 11 inches of snow by my count. This was shot with Nikon D5000 using the Interval Timer. The timer was set to take a picture every 5 minutes.

Thats a decent dump of snow my friend!

I sure miss living in snowy climates, makes the winter feel magical.....so long as you don't have to drive anywhere...

because Americans write the date the wrong way round, i thought that was going to timelapse a month of snow. and i thought a photo every 5 seconds for a month would be huge.

Almost that time of year again. I really shouldn't call these things 'blizzards'. Just trying to gain some interest on youtube ...

Anyway here's another SNOW STORM from 2013. I'll see if I can come up with a new one this year!

They're really neither blizzards nor snow storms, as there are neither whiteouts nor strong winds. They're impressive snow falls.
But these days everything is called a storm, whether it is one or not. It never snows or hails any more, it is always called a snow storm or hail storm. I'm just waiting for mist storms and fog storms.

Nice photography. A blizzard would be rather boring to watch in comparison.

"weather event"?

Thanks for checking it out y'all, so far no signs of snow here in NY yet. In fact it isn't even very cold.
