I love this forum, but I have something to say. This thread is already on page two and most of the replies have been complaining about it since this is a, "Fender" / music forum.

Awhile ago, someone asked about setting up intonation, and so far, there is only one response. That to me cries of complainers more than those interested in music/technical talk.

Look in the mirror.

I'm promoting Joe Walsh, that should tell you how much I appreciate "political banter" in these Forums. Anyone notice Duck Dunn and Steve Cropper in the video?

43 U.S Presidents the debt was 6.3 Trillion! Obama 3+ years added 6.5 Trillion, now 12.8 Trillion! And Obama said he was going to reduce the debt when elected! Unemployment Jan. 2008 was 5% and now 7.8% and California under reported supposedly by accident  ! Average Healthcare cost From Forbes says in last 4 years has risen by $5.000,00 for a family of 4! The largest increase in history have been in the last 2 years!
Food stamp program in 2008 cost 36.8 Billion in 2011 in reaches over 75 Billion!

The Country is the worst it has been in history for the last 3+ years  and to say its all Bushes fought because that he left a mess is just a cop out! The last 3+ years just show the current leadership can't handle it and I hope we don't give them 4 mores years to make it worst! Obama campaign slogan last time was ( HOPE) and (CHANGE) well that didn't work and now they are saying ( FORWARD) thats a joke! Forward with what , more failed policies? Another 6 Trillion in debt?

Maybe its time we have a business man run the Country and drop the the Community activist, lawyer.

I love my Country but I have never been more ashamed of the leadership in my life! Both Republican and Democrat!

I was going to post a long response to this, but I will let this link do the bulk of it:

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/09/01 ... citations/

Obama would have gotten even more accomplished if one of two things had happened... if either A.) he hadn't wasted the first two years of his term trying to cooperate with republicans even though he had majorities in the house and the senate, or B.) republicans grew up and stopped trying to block EVERYTHING with Obama's name on it, even bills and ideas they themselves introduced.

Obama is not perfect, far from it actually... but he's much better for this country than Romney, who is only looking out for the rich, regardless of how he's trying to spin it in order to get elected. If you make less than a half million a year and you vote for Romney, you didn't do enough of your own research before you cast your vote. And that's me being as nice as I can be about it. I'd be happy to debate this further, if you know of a political forum we can take the discussion to. Otherwise, I'll say I'm voting for Obama because he's a better singer, since that's as close to "Fender related" as this discussion can get. (Fender does make PA systems, after all... LOL!)

Poop rolls down hill. When you take from the rich the poor suffer. It's called trickle down misery. One economic philosophy has worked multiple times throughout American history, one has failed every time its been tried throughout the world. Also, the biggest cut in benefits I can remember to anyone came about under Bill Clinton with welfare reform. And I agreed with him on that one, it was a bipartisan effort. look a history from about 1915 until now and you can see patterns. Special interest groups have really distorted the hell out of all our information and understanding.

Right... Obama wouldn't work with republicans.

I didn't say it's not Obama's fault at all... in fact I said he's far from perfect. Of course neither Romney nor Obama will give you a direct answer to a question... they're politicians, what do you expect?

Obama's administration has made a great deal of progress in spite of a childishly uncooperative republican party in congress. That is undeniable. No one could or should have expected anyone to fix 8 years worth of mistakes in less than four years... it doesn't work like that.

I also didn't say that Romney doesn't have a plan. He does, and it scares the hell out of me. His plan is to make tax cuts that he can't pay for, designed to help the filthy rich who he likes to refer to as "small business", and do it at the expense of the poorest people in the country. That's not an America I want to live in.

Not that it matters anyway, I don't live in Ohio so my vote will have no real bearing on the outcome of this election.

What-what-what? :?

What do you really think is going to hurt the poor more... Increasing corporate tax rates by a measly 4 percent and eliminating oil company subsidies, or getting rid of the earned income credit to pay for giving multi-millionaires another $250,000 tax cut per household?

If you give more money to the poor, they spend it, to pay bills and buy things they need. If you give more money to the rich, they put it in off-shore bank accounts and bank the interest while ducking tax responsibilities. Which of those options helps our economy rebuild itself? You really think that every rich person who sees thier tax burden lower even further under a Romney administration is going to take that "extra money" and go create jobs with it?

Yeah, whatever.

Say, did anybody see those new Cabronita Teles? The sunburst one looks pretty cool, huh?

*sigh*

The fallacy in that plan is assuming that the most efficient way of injecting money into our economy is by routing it through the government. Our corporate tax rates are some of the highest in the world. The government used to work for us, now we work for it. The amount of money that can be generated from a functioning economy far far far exceeds the amount of taxes that can be collected from a choked private sector and then given out. The amount of money we need does not even exist yet, and the private sector must generate it. That is how money comes to be and it stays here when we don't punish those who made it. As taxes and regulation go up - opportunity begins to dry up. I believe that we need some taxes and regulation and a safety net for those less fortunate. However, the government must get out of the way and allow the money to be generated. I not saying this because I love rich people, this is what has happened time and time again over the last 100 years. If I am wrong, then so is history.
