I was wondering how it's going to play out down there. I do believe that the political polarization happening does'nt help get anything done. My grandad always used to say a bird needs both wings to fly and methinks he was right on

As an undecided independent voter I once again have to choose between the lesser of two evils. I feel each candidate has an equal chance of winning at this point. I have to decide between which candidate will bring our country in the right direction and which candidate will do right by me to help me get my family through this economic mess the world is in. Each party has such a different view of how things ought to be done. Each party has such different views on what is right for America. Both parties have always talked during campaigns about cutting my taxes. If this were true the government would be paying me taxes by now. Is it too much to ask that the candidates be truthful? Is it too much to ask that we run our country without going deeper into debt?

This should be locked right now as nothing good will come of this but the same fights that happen every time.

When will posters learn to keep their political interests out of this Forum?

We all know who's going to jump right in here again...

these things never turn out great.

i hate it when people want to talk politics. they ask you your opinion on a candidate or an issue, then procede to tell you how wrong you are.

i know how i am voting, but don't need to share it here

Hee-hee - probably right!

However, just before it's locked: on the race aspect of the thing, I had the pleasure recently of meeting and having a conversation with a gentleman, Robert Guest, who was the Economist Magazine's North America correspondent for several years and happens to know both candidates in the current fight.

He said that as far as predicting presidential elections was concerned we should ignore the polls and look at the betting odds. He said over the years those numbers have proved far more reliable.

So. Anyone know any bookmaker's websites?

Cheers - C

My only comment is that I wish the candidates would stop the mud slinging ads and talk more about how they intend to "help" the country!!!

+1,000,000 this dog fight does not belong here. There is already enough squabbling about which is better Fender or Gibson. I come here to avoid this argument.

Joe Walsh for President!!

I'm with Mike. Win by being the better man, not by making the other guy look worse.

I think were in for it regardless of who we vote for. Neither Romney or Obama are ideal for the job. I don't believe in changing Quarterbacks in the middle of a play so maybe, Obama is our best choice. I would like to see a little more "Give-M-Hell Harry".
