Most of you are probably aware about my physical disability. If not, then thats new information. I'm pretty tired of explaing it on here so lets just leave it at that.
I went to the hospital today for a BTX review. Last time I had it was about 2 months ago, since then I have not been able to play guitar, as my thumb will not stop contracting. I told them it didn't work an I was fed up with getting it. It turns out they're researching a new treatment for stroke patients, which so far they've had pretty possitive feedback about, so they decided to offer me it. I asked what it was, and it's basically a small thing that you hook up to your arm using two patches, and it sends electric currents into your muscles and nerves. The aim, in simple terms, is to get the muscles and nerves going properly again. My mates brother (he has very mild cerebral palsy) has had this treatment on his leg a long time ago, and it was succesful. So I said yes. Gotta do it for just 10-15 minutes a day. I'm going to see what happens in 2 months, and weather I should continue with it or not. The only thing that may get in the way is, I had my stroke 7 years ago, and the patients they've been trying it on had their stroke like, a couple of days prior. So my nerves or whatever is wrong with me might not be fixable. If thats makes any sense. Lets hope for the best though.
If this just relaxes my arm, and make it not so damn unpredictible all the time, I'll be happy.

With me not being able to play guitar, my new resonators just been sitting there, teasing me. BUT, when I can play guitar again, I should be recording my official, un-official EP at my schools studio. Should be pretty awesome to hear the result.

Yeah, thats whats been hapening in my oh so fun life. For now, I shall leave you with a youtube link to ponder about;

Great news Riley!

Glad there is another avenue of potential opening up for you, and with advances in medical science if this isn't a success you know another potential treatment is just around the corner for you.

Hoping for the best as always.

Good luck young'un, and remember that studies have shown that positive attitude and and fighting spirits may help patients in recovery, so stay strong (it has something to do with hormones and ... errr ... stuff :D ).
