Hi Danny: thanks! :D

Y'know, self-deprication is our national sport, but it needs to be taken with a goodly pinch of salt. Really, we live in the garden of Eden, we just don't want to be so boastful as to say so out loud.

This was Dartmoor yesterday afternoon, about five miles from my Devon base. Some good music in the earbuds; stew, local beer and a warm wife waiting at home: no place on this entire planet I'd rather be sitting and feeling good about life (with friendly respect to everyone else's home)...

That looks gorgeous Ceri! Stunning really! How nice that you appreciate it. My dad grew up in Glasgow but I have always enjoyed living between the mountains and the ocean, (5 minutes either way) on Vancouvers' North Shore. Also stunning!

Cheers,
Gridlok

Ceri, I love to see that. Is that your posing rock in the middle? I hope my cousins are enjoying that view. :D

Hey GTG: if I've understood right then I think they are - they should be in the distance over on the left of that photo, smiling up at the camera! :)

Ahh, pics!

It happened to snow in the mountains yesterday, (very early) so I took this from my family room. This is Cypress Mountain - one of two ski hills within about 5 minutes! Also excellent for hiking and snowshoeing.

And this is looking the other way. Not a great shot of Vancouver Harbour but my hummingbird dropped by so...

Nothing compared to the amazing vista from Ceri. But I didn't have to leave my house to get them!

Cheers,
Gridlok

C'mon - you have hummingbirds! They are the coolest! 8)

BTW: where I live we have to hang our UFOs on little motorised gizmos that start spinning when a squirrel climbs aboard for a feed. But they're getting wise to it and just go flying round and round, stuffing their faces and looking a bit giddy...

Cheers - C

Haha! Squirrels! They are just rats in fur coats! A very cute nuisance!

The hummingbirds, (why does Gibson come to mind?), ARE cool though!

Cheers,
Gridlok
