Has anyone seen the movie? I am considering going today but all to often I go to see a movie and am disappointed. I would like to know what it's about... is it a rockumentary or a story or a concert or a day in the life? If anyone can "Shine A Light" on the subject I would appreciate it.

I saw the movie last week. It's good considering that they are really really old. I watched Ladies and Gentleman the Rolling Stones (same premise but in 1972) at home a week earlier. If you are a die-hard stones fan, you may want to see Shine A Light, it because after all they are the greatest rock and roll band. I have never been a fan of the stones with Ron Wood as Mick Taylor's replacement, while they do refrain from most of the Let it Bleed-It's Only Rock and Roll Tracks, it's still kinda weak. All Down The Line is a sham without Mick Taylor's slide work. They play a lot of songs from Some Girls, but it's still the stones. Loving Cup with Jack White could perhaps be one of the lamest things I have ever heard, but Buddy Guy was a good guest. Perhaps instead of Christina Agiluera and Jack White they could have called Mick Taylor, after all he hasn't done $@!& in like 20 years.

Faraway eyes is cool to hear live, as is Champagene and Reefer, As Tears Go by is also pretty cool, with Keith on a 12 string. Don't expect to be wowed like you were in the 69-74 years, but it's 10 bucks well spent.

I saw it last friday and I thought it was awesome! And I'm not even a huge fan of the Stones (Buddy Guy's cameo was definitely the best part for me).

Totally recommend that you go see it in the theatre :D

I watched it at the Colosseum in Oslo (huge THX cinema, you probably know of it). National premiere and the cinema was half empty!

Thanks for the responses. I still don't know if I want to go see it or not. My local library gets movies pretty fast so I may just wait. But I do like the Stones.
