And bought myself a drum set.

I figured "Why not?" since I'm in 2 bands and they're both looking to jam as much as possible. This just removes the step of hauling gear other than extra cymbals, making things much easier. Anyways, I got a great deal on it, so I'm happy. It's from a Japanese company called Royce. It's definitely older, but in good shape. One of the heads is busted, but they threw in a new one free.

Also, I think I'm going to learn to play.

Today is a good day.

I already know this. It's ridiculous. :P

And thank Rollie (that's your name, correct?) they didn't include a tuning key, of all things to forget. no worries, a friend is giving me one tomorrow.

Or go code red like I did 10 minutes ago. I used an old pair of pliers to get the head off. All of the screws were a pain. Anyways, the floor tom is booming now.

Good on the drums. I'm a certified geezer, but I've been looking at the used kits at Music-Go-Round and they have some really nice kits in the $500-$600 range. Next time they have a 25% Off Sale, I think I'm gonna go for it - same reasons as you!

I used to drum decades ago, but using headphones never seemed to quiet them down any...

Your parents are going to be thrilled! :)
Playing drums is good exercise and therapy. Enjoy.

My mom or brother usually don't care. My dad wouldn't care, because he has a basement, but seeing as he's 300 miles away... My mom and grandma are gone for a few hours after school and my brother won't be home all week this week, so I guess I get free practice because I'm alone. It's 10 at night and I was just playing and my mom didn't care.
