It could well have been Bill, looks like it all got out of hand though, the doberman was accused of cheating by the rottwieler things turned nasty and this was the result, thats what I see anyhoo, they do say if you look at it long enough.............Oh well that's another few precious seconds of life I wont see again

This is not 'throw around money.' This is investment grade 'hope the next collector who wants it as badly as I did will pay more than I did' money. The article at the other side of the link indicates that Clapton realized ten-fold his investment in as many years. I wonder how much of that The Tax Man is going to share with him?

He's lucky that somebody bought it.

In all of this, don't lose sight of what we create here as an 'adoring audience'. Not just with him but with the rest of his ilk, whether in popular music or other arts and sport. One wonders about the pyramid we create when you think of a guy like Danny Gatton who had such great gifts and whose star never rose that high, whom so many just copped off or, for that matter, all the great unsung talent that is out there.
