Hey SA,

Awesome demo! When I heard that twang in your voice I knew I was in for a treat; you didn't disappoint!

I will look more into the Deans...

Nice rezo , there SA. I have one of the cheapo chinese made dobros. Use it from time to time. Comfy neck . and I like the more ''woody'' sound. I recorded a clip - hope you get an idea. Had a hard time doing this , as I don't usually deal with film  Shot with an old Nikon Coolpix , recorded sound to a Mac http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbN990yE ... e=youtu.be
Just noodling a bit

That was excellent...very nice playing! Now you've created some GAS for a woodbodied reso (dang it! )

OK, you guys gave me some serious GAS to get one of these but I'm confused by "square" and "round" necks. Tried to see what these truly look like but haven't been able to find good enough pics.

Could you explain please?

These which SA and I play ,are normal ( round) necks - you can play it as a standard guitar. Squarenecks are impossible to play that way. They are like buillding constructions 2"4"
And the strings a half inch above the " fret" board. Then you have to lay it across your knees and play it with a slide . Different style - but fun ! I have a lap steel to play that way. Same thing - only electric

Well, I ordered a Regal RD 40m after looking around.
Plus GC had $75 coupon that dropped the price nicely!

I have to stay away from these forums...you guys are a bad influence !
