This is almost embarrassing. This is from back in 82 when I was gigging, and get this, I was in a country band and pretty new to Texas from Los Angeles.

Once we had a gig in Cut and Shoot Texas, and they didn't want to let me in.

OK, I see the feathered Farah Fawcet hair and the porn star moustache but where's the 1977 Trans-Am and the
As$ Gas or Grass, Nobody Rides For Free
t-shirt?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I won't leave you hangin', Hou-Tex. "Old photo" is relative, I guess. This is me, circa 2002 - around the time I started playing guitar.

10th Grade class photo circa 1987. It's cringe worthy but I would still wear that shirt!

Drummer and I stealing a couch last year. (2 man band, Masterflash)

Me passed out by the bleachers at my school, last year. (Drummer took that pic)

Band and I touching a statue. (Summer)

I know these aren't as old as some of your photos, but they're certainly not new. Eventually, I'll be able to look back on these photos the same way you guys look back now, and I'll miss these days, the same way a lot of you do, I'm sure. When you're my age, it seems like it's never going to end, but then it hits you and you realize there's too much you didn't do, and you end up sitting in a pool of your own regret thinking "What if..?" I don't want that to happen to me. I don't want to miss out on what could be the greatest years of my life. I've got a little over a year left until I'm a legal adult, and I plan on living it well. I guess this thread made me a bit sad because I'm growing up, but it was a good idea, nonetheless.

And this is me 6 years later

This is from 2001:

The guy on the left was my drummer at the time. I'm on the right. The guy in the middle we called Ken. His girlfriend "Barbie" took the picture. note, this was in my drummer's basement, so I can't speak for the 80's hair band poster above us. :?

Okay - it's geezer time! Here's me in 1966 with my first guitar and some serious wattage behind me:

And here's me and the band, way back then:

Man, I still remember those days, but it was a long, long time ago...

Can't find any old photos of me playing, but I had one of those Fender Mustangs with the racing stripe on the body back when this was taken....circa 1974....

That guitar hails from your home town if memory serves. Not surprised to see you with it:wink:
