I did...and there wasn't a name tag which was a bummer initially. So I figured it must be in another guitar... I opened up my L6-S and found the name tag there. I got my Gibson a few months before I gave away the Yamaha so perhaps that's why I thought that I'd put a name in the control cavity of the Yamaha... I just got them mixed up.

As someone mentioned in their post, there's just enough doubt that I can't be sure that it isn't my guitar... I still think it really might be. I'd go so far as 80/20... who knows, but in any event, this one's "mine" now and it's not going anywhere.

I have some photos buried under a pile of crap that I can check on one of these days. There's a picture of me playing it back in the day... if I can scan and enlarge it I may be able to make out any imperfections and compare them.

JamGuy, this is a great story, and your guitar sounds really really nice!! While I hope this is your old guitar, having the twin sister guitar could be equally as great. :D It's your guitar now.

This is true... and as I've mentioned, it's not really that big of a deal. It's just a funky odd-ball guitar that I never should have gotten rid of, and it's cool to think (and a part of me really does) that my old guitar is home.
