Alright say you have nothing to do one day. Like today for me. Now let's come up a Fender Forum Drinking game.

Rules. Basically you sit here, with something to drink and whenever someone to does one of the described actions anywhere on the forum you take the indicated number of drinks.

Make some suggestions. I'll get it started.

1 drink if someone mentions Jimi Hendrix
1 drink if someone mentions Steve Vaughn
2 drinks for someone who thinks any of those guys are overrated.
1 drink for saying something along the lines of, "everyone has their own style"
2 drinks for someone saying along the lines that, "no one guitarist is better than another they just have different styles."

Need some more now...

 I dig it. The same day a post is made about musicians being booze and drug free , someone post a musicians drinking game. Now thats what I call parity! I love freedom of speech!

This is simply a game. Notice the directions, it simply says have something to drink and take the indicated number of drinks when the event occurs. It doesn't say drink anything that can be thought of as being directly harmful to oneself.

You see, thats my point. It's not killing yourself. All drinking isn't deadly. One drink does not an alcoholic make. Beer doesn't lead to heroin.

How about no drinks if you say you can play as good as SRV. You've obviously had enough if you think that.

Now I could have swore that I joined here to talk about Fender Products and Music, NOT to play drinking games.

There's plenty of posts that drift off subject further then this one. The nice thing is people are free to not partake in threads they don't like.

That is very true, however some of the posts here lately have made it seem like we are on the HC forum.

I've never tried the HC forum, but I certainly don't think this one is out of control either. I don't mind an off topic thread once in a while. It sure beats the constant X vs. Y polls and which guitar should I buy threads.

I didn't say it was out of control. An off topic post is cool every now and then, but with posts like this one, and being bombarded with polls and such........

Maybe being an old fart is starting to affect me here.

Well, I can't argue with you there. Being old has affected me from time to time here too. Sometimes it just seems so young here. I'm not saying you're wrong about anything either. You just have an opinion and opinions aren't a bad thing or wrong. They're just opinions.
