Wow! The laney sounds gorgeous! only problem is i think it will be too loud for home use..just seen a vid on youtube and the guy is only on 2 on the volume and its LOUD lol...damn this seemed perfect!

I have one and yeah, it can go loud. Not loud enough to keep up with an aggressive drummer though. I suspect this is down to the 10 inch speaker rather the the power output of the amp.
But I use mine as a practice amp indoors only. And i get an easily usable tone at lower volumes. Also have the option of high and low inputs. The low input does allow for a bit more on the volume knob. But it does thicken the sound up a bit.
They really are a corking, versatile little amp and well worth a look.
Normally a few good 2nd handers knocking round on eBay.
If your into the laney thing. Something from there Cub series might also be worth a look.

Btw. Where in the uk are you. Plenty of good guitar shops up and down the country.

Hi Pete, personally I find the Super Champ XD to be the best of both worlds, a great sounding tube platform with a pretty good collection of digital effects. I find it perfect for at home practice and have used it on smaller gigs (without a heavy handed drummer) as well. HTH

Egnator Tweaker or Rebel 15.
Range of sounds and loud if need be..

There is no Rebel 15. It's a 20 or 30 watt head and absolutely awesome.
The Rebels can be dialed down to one watt.

The Tweeker is available in 15,40 and 80 watt versions and are equally great amps.

the Super Champ X2 is an awesome little amp that sounds great at bedroom levels and will cover nearly any genre of music even of you never hook it up to the computer using Fuse software.

Two thumbs up!

The Princeton Reverb Reissue that Retroverbial suggested would be a very good choice as it has a beautiful clean tone. The Vox AC-15 is a fabulous amp as are the Vox 15 and 20 W Hybrids as they sound and respond incredibly tube like in their performance.

I have a Blues Jr. and find it to be just a great little amp, they make them with Celestion Vintage 30s in some versions too which really improves the sound of them compared to the standard issue Eminence speaker.A couple of my buddies have a weekly gig at a posh local supper club where they sit and play jazz instrumentals as the well heeled diners stuff their faces. They swear by their Blues Jrs. for this gig.
