Yep....When it comes to celebrity musicians, I just prefer the music, the personal life is just often uninteresting...

Never have seen the Stones...but did see The Face's way back when, now that was a concert not to be missed.....

The Faces I saw were, Ron Wood, Rod Stewart, Ronny Lane, Ian Mclagan, Kenney Jones..
I don't recall where it was, wether it was Indianapolis or Detroit, but I do clearly remember I was
right up front on the right side of the stage ( facing the audience )

It was a great show, Wood was/is a terrific rhythm/groove/lead player, I think he is very much underrated.

+1 on Ronnie Wood. Met him and Rod at record signings when Rod came out with "Atlantic Crossing" and Ron came out with "Now Look". I think it was a week between each in 1975.

Saw them earlier as the Faces at the Boston Tea Party in early 70's.
It was here that I first got hooked on Ronnie's guitar playing!

Both great people to talk to.

Were I in a band ( which at this point is once again sounding like a feasible idea ) I would have to have a setlist of Face's song's such as " Your'e so rude " " Cindy Incidentally " " Stay With me " and a few other's which just beg for a small vintage amp driven to tears.... 8)

Having seen the Stones in all their incarnations and the Faces and Jeff Beck Group featuring messiers Wood and Stewart, I have to admit that he definetely had a big influence on the direction these bands took. Would be nice to see a reunion tour of the surviving Faces.

Saw Rod and the Faces in NYC the the mid 70s and saw Humble Pie around the same time.(those were high school years}
I have seen the Stones from 1981 till their last concert,,,Never had too pay
for a ticket and always got backstage passes..
The Stones are the most Classly band I have ever seen
If you are a guest of the stones you will always have a seat with the 1st 17 rows from the stage...A few times I have got 17th row and once 4th row
in the freaking rain.
Backstage is kinda cool,,,there are posters all over the wall,so you can just rip them off the wall lol I know I took two..And there is many bottles of wine
backstage and food....Only problem is that the stones dressing rooms in next to the backstage area were people hangout and covered by a curtain so
folks cannot get into their area, butttt some of the stones do come out and say hi.....
I never knew tickets and backstage passes were sooooo easy to get from the stones..........Butttt I rather hangout backstage at a Aerosmith concert since their are only a few people that get passes for them lol............JT
