I just picked up the Beach Boys "Sounds of Summer" CD the other day. I guess my vote won't count.

thats a pretty cruel question. did you work with/for him at some point and maybe that made you angry? i am a passionate person and i tend to speak my mind first and worry about hurting feelings later. i would never ask a question like this. please explain. i'm curious.
i saw the beach boys when i was kid. church youth group. at that time i was already smoking dope and discovering sabbath, deep purple and such. i did not want to go because it wasn't my thing. the band was great and the crowd was better. good show. fun and positive without a bunch of profanity.
dude, don't waste your hate.

The first record I ever bought was The Beachboys In Concert, around '64 I guess. I learned to play guitar to that record.
I took a dookie this morning that was relevant to me. Maybe I should start a poll to see how you all felt about it!

Is it bad that I own (on CD) every single thing the Beach Boys ever released? And yes, it took a long, long time to find it all and most of it is no longer available.

Well, this thread can only can only end badly. I suppose that was probably the point. Negative attention is better than no attention, right? Hell, why don't we just set a poll like this up for all kinds of artists and piss everyone off and this whole board can go down in flames.

Brian and his band so far have had 36 US Top 40 hits (the most by ANY American rock band) and 56 Hot 100 hits, including four number-one singles. They are number 12 on the Rolling Stone list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" again that is the highest ranking of ANY American rock band.

Brian with the Beach Boys and in his solo works has sold over 100 million albums worldwide. That does not count video sales of the "SMILE" live concert solo project in the UK a few years back.

And you Wart? What have YOU done?

This is one of the most mean spirited threads ever started on this forum. To imply that Brian Wilson is not relevant today is either ignorance or neo-elitism.

Brian Wilson is a human being, a visionary artist and a celebrated Fender Precision player. You appear to be none of those things. Artists support other artists almost without exception. Even if you actually do own a Fender instrument, that is no evidence that you can actually play it.

Brian Wilson's projects become more relevant to me the more I listen. Why not ask Paul McCartney when Brian Wilson was last relevant to him? Triple-dog-dare ya.

Wart Breath, are you actually Mike Love?
