caution, this post is for old guys

nice, Tim, couldn't see Robin, oh well. I'm old enough to remember partying to this tune with a little help from Bear (R.I.P. Brother) and friends, Bear's purple tabs (haze), women everywhere and (lol, the blue barrels were better I thought) well here is one flashback for you: Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale

Absolutely beautiful sounding! My favorite rendition of this song is Willy Nelsons take on it..strange but true..lol ..but done by an entire orchestra was just gorgeous! Nice share thank you..and btw we are NOT old..just Mature haha!

I also should have said Guys and Gals. My body today feels old.

Real old, it appears. That's Alan Freed's line.

saw them in 1974 at Vets Memorial in Columbus Ohio with Robin Trower on guitar- Whiskey Train was a popular PH song then. They did WSP too. They were one of the bands from the day. The rendition with orchestra brings back memories for sure.

I've clicked on that link at least 6 or 7 times now an' it doesn't fail to bring a tear to me eye each time. I'm listening to it right now while I type this.

All these years and I thought it was the digital recording format being inferior to analog that kept me from playing songs over and over again just like I did as a kid sitting in front of my turntable. Turns out when the music is good again ... I'll still do it.

It is kind of striking that so many of us seems to have a similar reaction . Is it because of the beauty of this music ? That may be difficult to find these days ? Or is it because of our hidden memories deep inside us that resonates to this beautiful song ?
