Here's a rough manly test for you.

What is your cylinder quotient?

Take every item you own that is powered by internal combustion and add up all the cylinders, what number do you end up with?

Toyota daily driver - 6
G-body Olds - 8
Motorhome - 8
BMW - 4
KTM - 1
Yamaha outboard - 4
Evinrude kicker - 1
Mower - 1
Weed wacker - 1
Leaf blower - 1
Hedge Trimmer - 1
Chainsaw - 1
Snow blower - 1
Pressure washer - 1
____________________

Cylinder Quotient - 39

Um... not to bring Flames to the thread, but I don't think you can count your last 7 in a 'manly' count at all, Lawn equipment doesn't count...

For me:

2008 Mini Cooper S - 4
2010 Jaguar XF - 8
2010 Audi A4 (wife's) - 4
1972 Formula Vee - 4
1974 Formula Ford - 4
1985 Lotus Turbo Esprit - 4
1976 BMW 2002 - 4
1990 BMW 325is - 6
1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 (911) - 6
1972 Datsun 240Z - 6
1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT - 289 HiPo - 8
1994 Jaguar Xjs V12 Cabriolet - 12
2008 Vespa 300 GT Grantourismo - 1
2009 Moto Guzzi California Special - 2
Total cylinder count (not counting Grounds & Maintenance Equipment) - 73

Personally, I think it'd be much better to count Guitar Strings, even though I'm decidely at the bottom:

2012 Fender FSR Am. Vin. '57 Stratocaster Ltd. Ed. - 6
2011 Epiphone AJ 200CE/N - 6
Total string count - 12

cheers!

'84 Ford Capri - 4

72 custom tele
62 custom tele
Ja90 thinline tele
Standard strat
Fender acoustic
Seagull 12 string
Cheapo tele

That makes 48 strings

What is your cylinder quotient?

Hm.

Toyota - four cylinders
Hayter lawn mower - one cylinder (I guess? Don't know anything about engines.)
Kawasaki brush cutter - one cylinder (ditto)

Six cylinders in my life at present. Huh. Not very manly.

...On the other hand. I was born standing up, and talking back; my daddy was a green-eyed mountain jack. Because I'm evil - my middle name is misery!

Ah-ha: manly. 8)

(Oops - my wife is calling me to come and dry the dishes...)

Cheers - C

I don't see why not. It's not like the li'l wummun does that work. For that matter, lot's of wimmin ride so the bikes wouldn't always count either if we went by your reasoning. In fact most wimmin drive so forget about all your cars. Fortunately, we're going by my reasoning.

Hi SBD: looks like we're counting every cylinder we can call to mind on this thread! :D

...Ah! I have A LOT of cylinders with beer in them. If we count those I believe I'm winning by a country mile!

Cheers - C

Lets not start this one, it's my day off and the pub on the corner 10 doors down from me has a great selection of ales calling my name. It won't take much to get me down there

Yah it counts. Funny. My two compressors are about the only things I have that ARE electric ... besides hand tools like drills and saws and such.

Ceri ....
Internal combustion cylinders .....

 Bah - rats! Then I'm losing all the way. In my entire life I haven't owned as many cylinders as you've got right now. Let alone Lightnin MN!

I'll go and drown my sorrows with Snowjoe. 8)

Fun thread, BTW.

Cheers - C
