I actually got this amp 3 days ago and havent stopped playing with it since i love it everything sounds so good and its really easy to edit you presets even on the lcd i never thought id plug stright in to an amp but i dont use any pedals just the 2 button footswitch i also like how well the effects adjust and if you use fuse with it editing the presets is even easier

Keep hearing nothing but great things about the mustang amps. Is it try that the M2 has better time than the 3 or 4?

I have a friend who had one for a while. (Mustang III)
Not long ago, either. Maybe last winter for a couple of months?
He sold his out of frustration.
He indicated the different channels changed sequentially from 1 - 99 with the supplied footswitch and that you could go in one direction only. This made the amp useless for gigging as you must be able to go back and forth without scrolling through the entire library for the amp to be of any value. These are not my words, they are his.

Apparently there is a foot controller sold separately at an additional cost which can facilitate usable channel switching. In his mind (and mine) for this kind of amp to serve any other purpose except bedroom practice the foot controller must be included with the amp or it is useless. Price to be adjusted accordingly, of course. As for my own thoughts, 100 watts seems a little absurd for bedroom practice.

I'm sorry I didn't have anything glowing to say on your New Amp Day. I am. I've been down the amp modelling road and I know where it leads. With time and dollars it leads to real amplifiers.

Other than that, if you're happy we're happy.
:)

I have the 100 watt III, I also have three excellent tube amps,

the inclusion of the 4 button foot switch makes it the amp you could use with just a cable and those foot switches, and not drag a single pedal or pedal board with you. That's an attractive option for me..

My pedal board weighs more than most guys amps,

I admit, the Mustang is no match for these, but for something to bring to a jam, or small venue gig, definitely a reasonable compromise to the much heavier tube rigs, and you can leave the pedal board at home too.

100 watts is overkill for a bedroom amp, but it's not if you're playing with a band, especially one that has a drummer that has a heavish hand

I have Mustang V and absolutely love it. All these amps are great for bedroom levels as they all have headphone jacks.

I am also looking for a tube amp because I have never owned one. But I can live with my 'Stang for now.

It even puts the tuning display in front of you. What are your go-to presets this week?

Cheers,

I have a M3 and love it. I have gigged it 3 times and have not been disappointed! I do have the 4 button switch and it is fantastic. I made the presets I want with the Bassman, Supersonic and Johnny Marr Princeton amps. Great amp which you can't go wrong with!
