So I work weekends, which sucks for seeing family and friends, but it does mean that come my weekdays off.....

I get full run of my guitar and turntables and everyone on the street is at work. Crank the amp and take some breaks with the vinyl, life doesn't get much sweeter than this :D

You lucky thing...couldn't think of anything else I would rather be doing right now!

I have the same Vox amp, pretty pleased with it and its handy for my flat (Don't want to annoy the neighbours with my shoddy playing).

How does it take your pedals?

Tom

Although as I'm sure you know if you crank it on the 4watt setting it sure belts out some volume

Yeah I find if you have it on the 4watt and volume low for that nice clean sound then the chorus sounds very nice. As for the distortion either I run it through a low volume clean sound for that harsher almost "metallic" distortion for want of a better word. Or if you crank the amp a little so it starts breaking up and then add a touch of the distortion box its a nice mix of the two, so long as you don't over do them.

The overdrive combined with the DS-1 on the bridge pickup is one of my favourite sounds for sure.

It is good to be you!! I am green with envy at the moment! Generally that is my routine Im retired so when Hubby is at work I bond with my guitars..He is now home with the broken leg so I am currently sharing the house during the day haha...We have both decided when he retires it is going to be UGLY!! I recall the thread in here about a "man cave" Im and definitely going to have to turn one of our spare bedrooms into a "Cranky Ole Lady Cave" Hope you have lots of quality playing time enjoy!

That's great to know thank you.

Yeah I rarely crank the 4 watt mode although like you said the low volume clean tone is very nice. I try not to use pedals but I think I will invest in the future so this is great info.

I like the sound of the mixture of distortion!

Cheers

Tom

Aaaaaaaahhh! :D

Stretch out, man! I'm thinking of you right this second. I'm in South Devon at the moment. I believe I can just hear your amp drifting over on the wind... 8)

Cheers - C

South Devon how lovely! Hope the weather isn't tarnishing things.

I just put on the new Gaslight Anthem album for the first time and to my delight it is a clear blue vinyl, what a treat!

Bottle of Bundaberg ginger beer and a Sundried tomato, pesto and mozzarella baguette from the deli round the corner. Today is the definition of bliss

Hope the rest of the Lounge is having a great day!

Could well be 60mph winds that bring them tunes over to you down in the south!

I've just been out where I am and Its blowing hard (Hertfordshire) and raining fiercely.

Haha - yes! We had it last night, quite stormy for a while.

Nice and sunny here now, though. Might go for a stroll across Dartmoor later, with something good on the iPod.

I wonder what Snowjoe's playing on his red Strat? Maybe we can join in, from a distance...

Cheers - C

Sounds great , Snowjoe! Inspiring reading - I've just returned from work, put the kettle on with some meat-dish that needs to cook for an hour or two - now it's guitar -time :D . Hope you're still having a nice day - enjoy your nice set-up

Thank you and enjoy your time while you have it! Wishing you a good afternoon.

Ceri I've been playing a bit of our fine lands finest goth-rock The Cure.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa2nLEhUcZ0

A few months ago I couldn't get my head around how I could play it on one guitar, so I left it alone for a while and brushed up on some other things, now I came back to it yesterday and it all makes sense.

Enjoy the sun while it lasts!

The news here is saying we will get a months worth of rain tomorrow. Its slowly clearing up here so hopefully it will finish for today.

I hope it doesn't hit you guys too much down in Norway.

Still you can lock yourself away and play some tunes on the guitar!!

Tom

Hi SnowJoe! :D

Please do tell what Strat that is!
It looks every bit as much as the guitar of my dreams!
The right kind of red if you ask me.

Have a great week you all, and yes! I also get to sound
my beloved Snowbird on a Monday! Olympic White rules,
now it´s time to focus on Red. I got a nice Candy Apple Squire
just to live Red, but as you may imagine, the instrument
is not very pleasing to my hands or ears!
Custom Shop wait for me!!! We shall do it again!! :D

Enjoy your day!
