Asian style interior design takes its cue from Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and other Eastern cultures. Asian design influences contemporary interiors with Zen spaces for relaxation, feng shui furniture arrangements, Asian-style bedding, lacquered boxes or silk Chinoiserie wallpaper. Needless to say, Asian home design varies greatly. A room could hint at an Eastern influence with a Buddha sculpture and prayer beads, or completely recreate the feel of a traditional Asian room. Asian-style furniture and accessories such as tatami mats, futons, tansu style cabinets, and shoji screens create a Japanese aesthetic, while red lacquer, foo dogs, and paper lanterns add Chinese style.
As one of the most elegant, beautiful and simple themes, Asian theme is very calm and soothing and it does not involve too much of designing also. Any house can be decorated as per the Asian theme and the basic thing that one need to do is to ensure that there is no kind of clutter in the room and colors are chosen carefully. In an Asian theme one needs to use a lot of imagination and they can use fabrics, rich textures and bright colors. The room that has an Asian theme should always look rich and grand, and if that is accomplished, one has truly been able to recreate the Asian magic.

Wow, this thread is very timely. I've been thinking of redoing my lounge in the faux Chinese style and so naturally have been combing guitar forums looking for advice. But till now, nothing!

I mean, what gives? Why are there so few posts about interior design on electric guitar websites? Sheesh.
