My pleasure in having done so. I used that article to illustrate a point I was making in the EC Red thread on the Custom Shop Forum. Then thought to share the article with the rest of the members. You may want to check out the exchange between Mike and Chromeface which sparked my comments and weigh in with your own points of view.

As far as Tal is concerned....saw her first on the Crossroads concert and was jawdropped to say the least. She also did the JB at Ronny Scott's gig. She is someone whose background and discography you should become familiar with.

I forgot to mention how much it was mentioned about his hearing being about shot.I have to believe there are a LOT of people in this forum who can relate in someway or another about hearing..I know mine is not so great after years of listening and being near some very large amps..back in the day never even thought about or considered ear protection alas

Thanks Doc! that's a great read. Was fortunate enough to see JB in Manchester a couple of years back, he has always been one of my favourite players and continues to inspire and dazzle. 8)

Ya'll need to come over to that "EC Red" thread on the Custom Shop Forum!!!! An interesting exchange between Mike, and myself regarding the truthfulness of certain facts in this article and how can we rely on published information in general.

MUY IMPORTANTE :!:

Nice close to the gear section of that article:
Stevie Prior wrote:
Jeff doesn’t really care for the technical side of it... When you start talking about amps, he just kind of glazes over... That’s part of the greatness of the man – he can literally do anything. He could play the theme to Star Wars on a whoopee cushion.

Ah, I think I caught that show...! :D

Thanks for the post, Doc.

Cheers - C

I posted two links on the Red Strat thread. The second, more recent, is London 2010. I see no reason to doubt the veracity of the one on one posted. The content therein supports Eldred's statement to the effect that the Suhr pickups were built during John's tenure with Fender. Thus, the substance of that question in the Dan Forte interview is incorrect from their source which is the guitar tech. I've suggested to Mike Eldred that a letter from him to the editor of Vintage Guitar is in order.

Getup also included moon boots and size 0 women's jeans (jordache) tucked into them? Did he explain any of that?

The items posted for reading spoke for themselves. Therefore you questions are deemed asked and answered. Hmmmmmmm. This one will be a one to watch. Methinks there is a reincarnation afoot.
