So, about a week ago I was awoken at 5:30 am by my wife (swearing) looking for a specific pair of shoes. She has been storing her large collection of shoes (number unknown) under our bed, and in our (her) closet and in a few dresser drawers for quite some time. In my sleepy, now up for the day state; I decided it was time to get a shoe rack for her. Now I don't know who makes the so called shoe racks that you can buy in a store but obviously, they do not know much about women and their shoes.

I am quite aware that I am not good with tools, woodworking, wood finishing and the like but I figured that if I built a cabinet all it has to is not fall apart and she will fill it and decorate over my poor workmanship.

I am happy to report that I was able to make a sturdy structure and she did indeed fill it and decorate it.

I put a couple wheels under the front part because I figured that would be easier than building drawers. She is very pleased and I gained many "good" husband points. BTW, she has more shoes , these are just the ones in the current rotation.

All those "Good Husband" points should be cashed in immeadiately for a guitar or amp...best to strike while the iron is hot.

Although on the other hand, sometimes its just nice to do something nice, and you did a nice job on it. I loved the comment about "The Current Rotation"...sounds oddly familiar!

you Sir are a fine gentleman!! Being a female i may or may not own..ummm several pairs of shoes..one just never knows what shoes you will need..i think your project is a work of art and the fact that you did it simply to make your wife happy should give you all kinds of nice guy brownie points! Kudos!

+1000!

A new guitar always rates a new amp, just as a dame needs a new purse with new shoes......

Get both!

New gear is always on the horizon but right now I'm actually pretty satisfied with what I have. I plan to bank my points just in case some gotta have great deal shows up.

I'm not too worried about an expiration date on my points. My wife and I have the philosophy that life is short and it is better to remember the things you that have done or owned than to talk about the things you wish you would have done or bought.
