I've discovered Pond (the Australian band, not the one from Oregon back in the '90s). I love hearing a new generation's take on Psychedelia.

Monalst....
I'm so dissapointed.....

OK...I'll let the Cat out of the bag

Silverhead was comprised of ...

Vocalist Michael Des Barres.....Lately he's usually acting, more often creepy characters, which he is quite adept at portraying, his 1st role was as a supporting cast member in the film " To Sir With Love " But after Silverhead, he replaced Robert Palmer in The Power Station ( wikipedia has the more in depth bio )

Bassist Nigel Harrison...Most notably was the bassist for " Blondie "
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHCdS7O248g

Robbie Blunt.....From Silverhead to Robert Plant's " The HoneyDripper's " that great Strat sound on " Big Log ".... 8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZQL22xOmUM

Rod Rook Davies...after Silverhead I have not found much other than a respected Blues Rock guitarist...

Pete Thompson.....mostly session drummer but joined Climax Blues Band , some work with Robert Plant and also RobinTrower....Currently teaches.....Sounds like the best life from the road retirement. 8)

Good Lord! I know I'm getting old when I can't even begin to understand how they are popular.

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are great.

Yikes....And I thought tape loops were bad.....
I would list that in the top ten right alongside the TeleTubbies Theme

Oxfan you are not old..because um that would make me old..haha..as Brotherdave pointed out the masses do NOT get it right a lot of times..case in point the Macarena had 260 million views..
53mag- I love trivia..I love it even more when I know the answer..darnnnn it! haha
Stratman- Im still giggling funny to see how times change but somethings remain the same..Pyschedelic Mango is the name of the Pond album..its like the 60's all over again..definitely an updated take musically but yet still the same

Sorry to disillusion you Mona, I am old. Matter of fact, I'd say I'm in the top ten percent as far as this Forum goes. Age does have it's advantages. Wile I won't blather on, I will say the greatest is, my four awesome grandbabies!

Here's my little bassist.

My nephew just told me to youtube a group call Big Wreck...very impressed really really liked a song called Albatross which is also the name of the album..cool slide on a double neck guitar! ..Generally my grown daughters laugh at me when I constantly discover someone new..that has been around for 10 years lol..

Big Wreck was big in Canada in the 90's. The singer Ian Thornley is Canadian. Here is their big hit from the 90's.

When I first heard them I thought they were another Canadian band Big Sugar.

As far as new stuff goes, I've recently heard of Foxy Shazam.

Sometimes it's better to look back for old groups Mona, was looking up Jan Akkerman's previous bands awhile back and found Brainbox, the other is another dutch band I found along the path, it's not a bad idea to look for previous incarnations, some NOS

Afraid I have some bad news.

Psy, the 34-year-old South Korean rapper in the link I posted (now closing in on 288 million hits with no end in sight) titled "Gangnam Style" told a news conference in Seoul recently that he would perform the song TOPLESS if it hit No.1 on Billboard.

Today the song landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart. Last week alone it sold 301,000 digital copies in the U.S.A and that is not counting international sales.

Repeating, never overestimate the taste of the masses.

These people are the same people that watch "Honey Boo Boo", "Big Brother", "Cake Boss" and any show with Gordon Ramsey in it on their TV's.
