Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

nah, I'd be happy with this...

A 1951 Precision
A 1955 Precision
A 1957 Precision
A 1962 Precision
A 1978 Precision

That's about as well rounded a collection I'll ever need. 8)

A used Gretsch and an amp with a lot of echo/reverb. Surfs Up!

I really have to admit that I'm happy with my three. The only bass that I really would like to have, and if my employment gets back to normal I will, is!

http://www.fender.com/products/jaco-pastorius-jazz-bass

At present my #1 is a FSR Precision, followed by my 2010 Jazz that I bought used and has a bunch of mods. Then last but not least is my MIM Strat.

I still want a low-budget LP type guitar but now I'm considering a PRS SE 245 instead of the Epiphone... haven't ruled out the Epi yet, though... still trying to decide between the PRS and the Epi..

If you want a budget LP type, you should consider a Carvin CS4 or CS6. You can order them anyway you want. I have a nice '07 LP and I'm going to order a Carvin because I can get options that I can't get from Gibson, for a lot less money. They're made in San Diego and take 6 to 8 weeks after you order.

Sounds like you got a very good start to your collections, but you NEED something with P90s! Try one of the newer Gibson LP 60s Tribute Studios with the P90s! You should be able to find em for $750-$900 pretty easy used!

After you find one of those, then go find a good tele and lastly a ES335 of some sort. That will pretty much round out the different classic sounds out there.

FWIW
