So, iOS 7 (free upgrade next week) and the new iPhone 5S and 5C were announced.

"The iPhone 5S costs the same on contract as the iPhone 5 did at launch: $199 for the 16GB version, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB. Protective cases that Apple made specifically for the device will come in at $39 each.

Along with the cheaper, riotously colored iPhone 5C ($99 for 16GB for a two-year contract,) the iPhone 5S goes on sale September 20 in various countries like the US, UK, China, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, and Singapore. Both phones will come to 100 countries and 270 carriers in December."

And once again apple makes huge emphasis on music :D Let's see what the recording/editing apps can do with that 64bit architechture now, which makes the iPhone5S 2x faster than the iPhone5, and with the new Motion chip I wonder if apps will incorporate gestures for Recording Start/Stop so I don't have to try and find the screen with my guitar in hand.

I think iOS 7 is too much like a "toy" look. Not really crazy about the 5S or 5C either. Maybe it will allow more features on the Apple TV on the 18th though.

Next year they will release the iPhone 6 with a larger screen...not sure why they wait...well, I do, but it's ludicrous.

For those of you doing some iOS recording or just jamming on
your iOS devices, here is a list of special deals on iOS apps:

http://iosmusicandyou.com/apps-on-sale/

Auria (full version) is very good, IMO, and plenty of other
great deals for a limited time only. Enjoy!

Trying to think of what all I have on my ipad...

Amplitube, DM1, Audiobus, Bias (great), Beats, Tape (recording app from focusrite), JamUp Pro and Final Touch.

Great toy.

I use Anytune Pro on my older iPod touch - https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/anytune ... 65180?mt=8
The version I have was for iOS 5.x, and was only $5 or so back then.

It's primarily a "slowdowner" (for any tune in your iPod music library), but it will also change the pitch by +/- 12 semitones or fractional semitiones, which is really handy when the performers are slightly flat or sharp *cough* Lola by The Kinks*cough* , or have purposely detuned their guitars by a semitone or two (or three - Tommy Iommi). Even at 30% speed, the sound quality is pretty good, without that weird "matrix-agent-taking-over-a human-body" grinding artifact. Also looping of selections with or without a pause between repetitions. It remembers tempo, pitch, and loop settings for individual titles between sessions.

Bias for $4.99 is another great deal, I agree.

Try Bias. I think it is a step up from amplitube.

Downloaded it a few hours ago and been tweaking tones for neat 3 hours now! This is by far the best iOS guitar app. The tone is just amazing!

Got the free version of Jamup. Have yet to try it. Works great with Garage Band though, which is a blessing because the amp models on GB are just terrible.
