I got my ticket to see the Pumpkins on September 28 at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa (a venue that holds fewer than 1500.) Tickets sold out in 4 minutes, but I got mine during the presale. I saw them at Cain's in 2010 so I know what to expect. I'm pretty excited to be seeing them again.

My tickets are general admission, so I can stand anywhere on the floor. The only seats are in the balcony. There's not a bad place in the building to watch the bands play. I should be able to get close to the front and center.

Here's the Cain's website. Cain's is known as being the home of Bob Wills, who played there many times. It is infamous for hosting one of the very few Sex Pistols shows they played on their aborted American tour. Lots of bands have played there over the years and the venue has attained a legendary status and is considered by many as one of the best venues in the country.

Thanks. I'm sure I will. I had a good time at the last show. Billy was in a really good mood that night, and he joked with the crowd several times between songs. He raved on and on about how much he loved Cain's, and that if they ever did another residency they would do it there. He must have been being honest about Cain's, because they're coming back after just 2 years. Maybe he'll make Cain's a permanent stop on all subsequent Pumpkins tours.

I just decided that I'm going to see Down on Wednesday at Cain's. If you don't know who Down is, they are a sort of Southern metal band. The band features Pepper Keenan of Corrosion of Conformity, and Phil Anselmo of Pantera. They're blusier than Pantera was. Good old swamp metal from Louisiana.

Naturally.

Being stuck at a seat would be foolish.

Here's the video of Billy talking about Cain's (warning:NSFW.)
