Geez, Bono has a lot of money for a guy who likes to tell our President that he needs to spend my tax dollars in Africa to "help" people. Hey, I also heard they did their record in Finland to dodge taxes. That's not very "humanitarian" of him.

Not knocking the band, they're great. Just knocking his hypocrisy. What a typical bleeding heart d'bag.

They have zero income tax for "artists" in Ireland. A friend of my wife's lives in the next street to Bono on the southern edge of Dublin: he's sometimes seen cruising by in his flock of Ferraris. I find it highly unlikely that he needs to record in Finland for tax reasons. Maybe he likes Finlandia vodka and wants to be close to the source?

Anyway. This is the important bit of this thread:

5. Mick Jagger Net Worth – $305 Million

I just love to think how that comparison must be eating Mick Jagger up inside! Beaten by the old mop-top again! :D

(BTW: those numbers look serverly out of date to my eye, unless everyone has lost a lot in the current financial climate. Perhaps that's it.)

Cheers - C

Very possible, I have a McCartney biography that says when he was in Wings he gave Denny Laine bed sheets for a wedding present. :!:

Perhaps, but is the band, not Bono, DBA in the UK not Ireland and is there some sort of sanction on them doing an album and releasing it there because of it? However, he most certainly did go to my President to tell him to spend my money in Africa while he sits on a pile of loot. Not that I begrudge him his loot, but he's a typical hypocrite and until he's okay with take about 500 million of his vast fortune and dumping it there he might want to shut his mouth about pleading to governments to stick guns in people's faces to take their money.

So now bleeding hearts are dirt bags?
I assume you mean ALL bleeding hearts are dirt bags since you used the word "typical".
My, such a charitable sentiment.
Particularly since the premise of the statement is not even correct.
Way to take the high road.

My bad, let me correct that for you. Typical bleeding heart hyporcrite d'bag. nothing says "humanitarian" like using your influence to convince a government to forcibly take from people to give to others. Wow, what a swell guy! Sorry for not taking the "high road" for you.

Must be because rap and pop music are dominating the charts.
