hello fellow Fendernauts! I just scored a sweet guitar. Traded away my heavily modded squier tele (all black w/ bigsby) for....(drum roll)...a SUPERSONIC!!! The guitar was set up terribly and looks as if she came through the dust bowl! So, I took her apart and did some super cleaning and oiled up the rosewood, a fresh set of GHS TNT's, super duper set up and viola! Plays like a dream. The silver flake has aged well that it appears to be a dull goldish! Man, I can't wait to hot rod this one!

At least two words come to my mind and both end in -ous. Fabulous and Glamourous (sp?). 8)

Congrats on the new axe.

thanks buddy, and you're right about the 2 -ous words! I've been kicking myself since 1997 when I passed up on these to get a duo-sonic!

Bluesstrattone, you are correct, this is a reverse neck! And man, she feels like butter! As for my hot-rodding plans, I plan to have this guitar live up to her name. I drew a diagram last night to be like this:
- swap the pups with some hot ones I have lying around first off, Dimarzio DP151 in the bridge and a Duncan Designed off an early 90’s BC Mockingbird in the neck.
-move the toggle to the lower horn, replace switch with higher grade component
-place a kill switch button in place where the 3-way was initially in the upper horn
-rewire to be master vol. (500K CTS POT) master tone (500k ALPHA POT)
-PIO 0.22uf cap
-fully shield cavities with copper foil
-DPSP switch to combine both HB’s to a super HB (both in series)

I'll get some more pics up when my camera comes back to life!
