Thought I'd contribute to the addiction by showing my prettiest guitar:

Seems like this thread turned out to be a ''how-to-tease-Mona''-thread  But to some extent , I have to agree with SA :

Plus, I'm really, really content with the instruments I have right now. Due to the dearth of good guitar shops in casual "browsing distance" from my current abode, my guitars and (main) amp are generally  MUCH nicer/better quality than what I'm seeing on the walls locally--therefore, the GAS switch doesn't get triggered as often.

So I empathize with my fellow GAS sufferers, but I am happily suffering less than I used to.

Of course , there will always be incredible guitars around- and since we love them - they 'turn us on' :D But ,still agreeing with SA - I am very satisfied with those I have got .Perhaps it's because of a certain natural maturity  The most important is the player !! As my old piano-teacher said - a good player can make sweet sounds out of the worst detuned pianos
My reasonable GAS -list is
#1 A P-bass
#2 Nashville tele
#3 5e3 -kit (which I think I will buy first of these 8) )
This is my favourite guitar , nowadays:

I guess- there are not so many digging thinlines-so not so dangerous for Mona :D But I dig.
I'm changing between a couple of strats and teles , but I think ''This is the one'' for me! MIM !

I dunno, I think it would be fiscally imprudent to buy shoes instead of new gear. It’s almost foolish not to.

Let’s say you put $3,600 into a bank account, and it earned 2% a year. You could take out $220 a year and buy shoes. At the end of 20 years you’d have nothing, the bank account would be empty and the shoes would be old and worn out.

Instead you took that $3,600 and bought some really nice gear. At the end of 20 years you would nice gear that would be worth, oh, let’s say $5,000.

The only logical thing to do is always buy gear as often as you can. :P

But of course keeping the better half happy is always the best investment. :D
