GWAR

Lamb of God

I think Fugazi is from NOVA, but I'll have to look it up.

For my home state of PA:

Ween

CKY

Those are all of the ones worth mentioning, tbh.

Some bands formed in Alberta include Stampeders, Nickelback, Loverboy, Gord Bamford (Is it Friday Yet?), Destranged and Paul Brandt. That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure there are others.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Since I hail from Michigan originally (and where I still feel most at home), lets go there...

...Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, Grand Funk Railroad, Mitch Ryder, MC5, Iggy Pop, Madonna (almost left her off on purpose), Kid Rock, Almost all of Motown, Del Shannon, Tommy James and The Shondells, and probably another 20 I have forgotten...

Good to see there are other forum members from Alberta!
Honestly, I think you named pretty much all of the bands to come out of Alberta. We aren't exactly the music capital of the world.
The only other band I can think of is Social Code, and they were never really all that big. The only reason I knew about them is because my brother is friends with their lead singer.

I'm friends with Gord Bamford's bass player. She just won the CCMA best bassist award the other day. I only mention it cuz she's smokin' hot (tssss!) and she has great gear too. Cream of the crop.
