The majority of members are stuck in a rut where all they can think of is endless questions about "what string guage do you use?" "What guitar should i get?"

This has become a very boring forum with the same things repeated over and over ad nauseam.

We have ridiculous threads started, like this recent Jimi Hendrix one and the man has been gone for 42 years. It's just silly. I agree he was a great influential guitarist but come on! get over it! it was nearly half a century ago and we have people posting "we miss you!" that is just plain creepy.

Virtually nothing is posted that has really pointed relevance or that can really impact on a players life or technique.

I'm going to change that today by posting a thing that might help some people and be of concrete use to other players who maybe suffer the same type of hand problem as me.

I wish someone on here had had the interest, or the knowledge, to give me this tip when i was complaining about my hand problems. Instead i learnt about it elsewhere.

But then they were too busy whining and moaning about Toppscore and his ilk and trying to get him banned.

We need all the people on this forum not just the one's you personally like or agree with.

Having a bunch of back slappers who all think alike and all have the same attitude is not healthy or creative. We need all different types.

Hi Gorgon! It´s all good man!
Bread and Circus!

I find hand injuries a VERY relevant subject.
...Awaiting your thread to get that ball rolling,
Diagnosis, Therapy, Surgery, Prognosis, Reality.

My left hand thumb, 17 years after a bike accident...

Because now and then something does come up that might be of interest. But it's rare.

Plus see my post today about the pick.

So to pass on any good tips that might help someone play normally is another reason.

What have you done for anyone lately? apart from being one of the whiners that likes to get people banned?

Instead of moaning and trying to get people banned go and do something constructive with your time.

I have absolutely nothing of substance to add to this thread either way. I'm only making a post because if I don't, I'll probably be the only one who didn't.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

First of all I don,t whine to anyone. If I have a problem with someone I take it up with them.

I just asked you a simple question that wasn,t ment to piss you off but it seems to have for some reason.

I guess you get to make my ignore list also. Way to make freinds

No that's wrong i'm afraid. i asked him for advice about a caps issue in an amp and was met with the sage advice of did i know what side was the positive end and what end was the negative end?

Not only was that an idiotic comment it was demeaning and rude. Much like the way he put Toppscore down with his cheeky and moronic Einstein comment.

Quote:

I actually think it's a valid question. I've seen people hurt themselves with caps, and electrical panels not being locked out, fingers where they don't belong with a machine sill powered up. I'm the lead tech in the engineering dept. at my job, I ask people questions like that all the time when they call me and I'm not there to see. It's not to suggest people are stupid, it's just responsible to ask certain questions so people don't hurt or kill themselves. Doesn't seem to me to be insulting at all.

That's actually a really good question because too many peoplewho think they know about high voltage electronics don't know that electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Get over it. It was a valid question that could help you avoid getting hurt.

Tim, time to stop feeding the troll. We who know you know you're not a whiner. I'm beginning to think Gorgon is another variation of Topscore. Just ignore him. The only problem with the ignore feature is you can still see his dumbass posts when somebody quotes him. :? That's all he does is start arguments and defend the lowlife's around here. Just don't respond to him and maybe he'll go hang with all the jackholes that have been band from here. Then maybe we can get back to normal.

Dear God, why does the ignore function not affect quotes??

I still have to suffer from Gorgon's oral ejaculations in other's quotes!

Well, Mr. Gorgon, if this place is of so minimal interest for you, you have two options:

1. Leave! Please!
2. Read those rare interesting posts but don't post anything yourself! Please!

Both options would be a delightful improvement for everybody else in this forum.
Certainly for me (can't talk for the others), since I am absolutely fed up with your renitent way of talking everything bad which forms the very basic basis of interpersonal exchange of communication, knowledge and experience.

Complaining about repeating questions of newbies shows your deep incompetence to put yourself into the position of a beginner who joins this forum to seek for help and advice.

To answer with your own words: GO FRIGGIN' COPE WITH IT that there are new members every day who might have the same questions others had before instead of whining about it like a little girl who dropped her lollipop into the sand! Grow up and face the $@!&* called "life", who confronts you with questions of "stupid" beginners day after day.

With your degenerated attitude you're totally misplaced in a community like this.

You're better off with a one-person-forum!
I have seldomly experienced such a destructive character like you in an online forum!
You certainly set a benchmark!

I take it that you take it as a compliment?

Well, at least you're #1 who EVER made it onto my ignore list here!

That's what i'm doing. So what about my post today about the problems with the pick for people with hand problems with grip. What'll i do with that? delete it? hmm!

Well thank you. I do take that as a compliment actually. So it was Toppscore before and now it's me eh?

What degenerated attitude is this you speak of? since when has giving my opinion that someone should not have been evicted from a forum problematic?

Destructive in what sense?

This is what i laugh about: you demonise someone, yesterday Toppscore, today it's me, because we don't agree with your opinions and general namby pamby attitude ie. feigning shock and indignation at something someone said on a forum and making out that what they've said is 10 million times worse than it actually is.

The only one being destructive is yourself with your wimpish attitude and not being able to take the opinion of someone like Toppscore on board without crying to Brad.

As i mentioned before: grow a pair and leave others on the forum to do what they want. If Brad wants to ban them then that's up to him. Keep your snout out of it.
