I prefer cheese with my whine, and moaning should be kept to a minimum unless the windows are closed. :o

By all accounts what Toppscore did was not very bad but then you had a bunch of whiners who sneaked away to Brad to report him. Bad, very bad. If they didn't like the guy then just ignore him.

I avoided this thread cause I don't like wasting time on BS... maybe you weren't around when this fool went crazy and started this mess around here and ruined it for the rest of us, whiners, as you call us. Sure, the majority of us here are whiners, except for that fool. Same goes for all the other forums he got kicked out of, a bunch of whiners... probably Brad is responsible for those forums too

For your information, he was the one that went crying to Brad like a little biatch...

Go read this so you can get educated, many more like it all over this great forum:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=71163

I was one of the first to offer advice and what'd he do, ignore my help and went right after one of the most respected members here. His feelings were hurt, why? Maybe cause he got called Einstein... really??? And you're calling the rest of us whiners???

OK, I'm done talking, time to go have a drink or 10

Time to lock this thread and move on, way more important things going on in the world than to worry about some rare/stupid wannabe

That was a pretty heavy one , Cedarblues ! I did read the first page here  Seemed that he was quickly offended - at the same time he seemed to don't understand what people were telling him. That happened over and over ,in other threads as well. I think he was heavily drugged :?

Oh my ..... .... I never saw that one before. Yikes!
OK, that does it, I withdraw any sympathy for the man I may ever have had.
Thank you for going through the threads to find that one, cedarblues.
You've opened my eyes.

Nothing too bad in that thread, just an overreaction by all the "quick! where's Brad?" types who are only too eager to report someone at the slightest provocation.

So the person that was trying to wind him up and who was disrespectful in the way he answered him also needs to accept his part in the proceedings going downhill from there.

Of course he won't, such is the way on the forum.

Clearly, you were never on the receiving end of toppscore's idiotic behavior. Tell me. When someone has been banned by multiple forums for the same behavior, who do you think is really at fault?

Why......all of those spiteful, jealous, and mean-spirited forum members of course!

As Mister Toppscore's chief antagonist I put up with a ton of his moronic bullshit -- phony stories, phony pics, and phony claims of servicing and maintenance experience. I put up with it right up until the point at which it became apparent that his amp "advice" was so mis-informed and dangerous as to GET SOMEBODY KILLED OR INJURED.

It wouldn't be me of course, nor anybody here who truly understands the hazards of working with high-voltage circuits. It'd be some poor hapless shmuck who came to this forum seeking genuine help and ended up incinerating his amp, getting grievously injured, or worse.

Say what you will about Brad's decision -- he did everyone a big favor. Mister Toppscore should stick to buying and trading baseball cards. At least then he won't get anybody greased.

Arjay

No i wasn't, but it's not gonna do any good banning him, there'll be another one along in a minute. Why a permanent ban? why not just a ban for a week or a month or so?

Do we really need a 10 page discussion about it?

Again ... he was banned by three forums (that we know of), one of them twice. Do you really think he would change his ways? Not a chance.

Apparently so.

In any case, I will leave this discussion with one last comment: Bye bye toppscore, wherever you are. It was NOT fun.

Wow!
I was away for a while, enjoying a 1 week stay at hospital :( and now I see Toppscore banned.

I didn't read all 11 pages but I've seen the nasty stuff you guys linked to and was surprised about his behaviour.

I never had any trouble with him but I got a little annoyed by his strange humor with 3 to 5  -Smileys in most of his posts and he seemed to have to add his opinion to literally EVERYTHING.

Since I'm no native English speaking member myself, I assumed:

1. he isn't either
2. he's over-enthousiastic about all things Fender
3. he wanted to be respected as a "I know everything Fender" while asking the same questions he answered himself in another post.

He was sometimes annoying but I didn't see any missbehaviour up until now.

I'm absolutely NOT criticizing your decision, Brad but since the change in his behaviour caught me by surprise, I'd like to throw in some questions.
I am a forum administrator myself and have to deal with posters like Toppscore every now and then and had some thoughts about topics like this myself:

1.since a lot of members complained about him: has it been of consideration that he might have been flamed via private messages which led him to be p***** off somehow? I take it that there's no way of checking that other than asking him?

2. has he been warned before getting entirely banned?

3. is there no option to just "lock" a members account for a reasonable time, then letting him get back to see if he/she behaves nicer then?

You know, if one has a bad day or a bad period of time, it might happen that one posts something in a worse manner than generally intended, just getting carried away by problems/anger which bothers one privately. Some people can control it, some can't.

I have to admit that I haven't read ALL topics/threads he participated in, except the latest insults he posted and which were linked to in this thread. Maybe I missed lots of his less friendly posts but I personally never saw a reason for a sudden ban while communicating with him.

Brad, you're the boss and I appreciate that you take care of things like this to keep a nice and friendly athmosphere in this forum, I'm just wondering if there wouldn't be some other options than just banning him forever but then again I don't know which actions you underwent BEFORE banning him, that's why I ask.

Since you didn't read all 11 pages of the thread, you missed the parts that I repeated several times and that all those who are upset about his banning seem to choose to ignore.

1. Toppscore has been banned by THREE forums for the same behavior. One forum banned him TWICE after he tried to sneak back in under another user name.
2. Brad warned toppscore about his behavior on multiple occasions, both in the forum for all to see as well as via private message.
3. After being banned FOUR times, why do people think he would behave himself if given a fifth chance?
