Toppscore has been banned

Absolutely. Too much of this thinking it's some kind of exclusive old boys club and anyone who says anything contentious or argumentative needs to be banned. :roll:

It's the internet and it's a forum, get used to it, this is what happens on the net and on most forums. People enjoy debating/arguing with others. That's what a lot of people enjoy about it. I'm a member of a training forum and we argue all the time, no one gets banned. If someone gets out of line then it gets sorted but it's extremely unusual for anyone to get banned full stop. By all accounts what Toppscore did was not very bad but then you had a bunch of whiners who sneaked away to Brad to report him. Bad, very bad. If they didn't like the guy then just ignore him.

If they want a perfect safe cotton wool environment, where everyone only says nice things, then they'd be better off unplugging their net connection methinks.

Hey, now! I've been around since day one. Granted I left for years, but I think it's not just an "old boys club", though certainly there is that. I just think it's a trend that is becoming more prevalent on this board (I certainly don't remember it in the old days) and in society in general.

Unfortunately that's the way things are. On the net people can say what they like when they like. If every time they don't like what someone says on here and they run to Brad telling tales then it's a sad day. Insecure or what?

Always remember no one likes people who go away telling tales and grassing people up. Especially when there's no need for it.

I could understand it if the guy was threatening people ot cursing and swearing but by all accounts what he did was relatively mild, it was the busybody's behind the scene that got him the boot.

Eh, it is what it is, I suppose. I never had a problem with the guy. Too bad. I thought his questions on the 6string bass tuning was a valid and interesting question and might have provided some solid info for people who were curious.

How can you be so sure of that ? Don't you think Brad is able to find out of a couple of things by himself? I am certainly not the youngest one around here , and I am not the one who has contributed most to make this forum a good one - but I am quite certain that those been around longer than me, often older than me- they have really made this forum worth visiting :!:

I am not to bow into the dust because of that , but I can't see why ''they'' should be called whiners - is there any evidence for that ?

everyone has an ax to grind but they often get tossed about to freely.
our axes just happen to look like this ! :lol:

brad just counts the axes :wink:

what we perceive as justice he may see as persecution.

I guess my whole thing is that all these people. All of them, and probably more who haven't posted here. They all didn't simply "foe" or ignore him as you said. As had been said before. They chose to sit there and whine until the guy got banned. If you don't like his posts you simply have to skip reading them. You don't even need a damn button, but the site gives you one anyhow. I'm not saying I thought the guy was a saint. Just that I never, ever had a problem with him. Even when he'd say something smart to me. I just took it as good natured ribbing, and someone who maybe doesn't realize how they come across in text instead of spoken word. Even if he did offend me I sure as hell would never "run and tell". I just don't get it.

You are right to a point for most Foe buttons is fine but when someone is consistanly giving advice about something the have no idea about to the point they are going to get someone hurt something must be done. I put him on my Foe list and he posted so much that thing were not making sense. Calling people whinners who are looking out for the good of others make zero sense to me. But because of this thread I get to add somemore to my Foe list.

I'm one of the "old" guys and I've never complained to Brad about anyone here. Sorry, the guy was an insulting, arrogant horsehole. He was on my ignore list as are a few others for quite a while. It's not just the old guys who didn't like him, there were people of all ages who he aggravated on a continuing basis. Personal attacks are totally unwarranted. There wouldn't be a forum if everyone acted like that. I understand he was banned from a couple other boards too. So I guess the entire musical world is full of old whiners. :lol:

Seems to me It's not usually the old guys that are whining. There's nothing wrong with being respectful to all the forum members. Most of us can disagree and not resort to personal attacks.

As has been previously noted, he was banned from both TDPRI and the Vintage Amp Forum for the same behavior he exhibited in this forum. In fact, he tried to come back to the Vintage Amp forum under the user name of "Swingville". He was caught and banned again. The only reason he lasted as long as he did here is because Brad is a pretty tolerant guy and gave him several warnings until it was obvious that he wasn't going to change.

Even though I had toppscore on my foe list, he still sent me several nasty PMs. The foe list doesn't stop that. And guess what? it was probably my last few complaints to Brad that got toppscore banned. Yep. You heard that right. I am one of those "whiners" that you are whining about. I also have been keeping an eye out for greenheart and all his personas, and I report him to Brad so he can be banned again .... and again .... and again.

One of the reasons this forum works as well as it does is because the members self-police it. Contrary to popular opinion, this is not a public forum where you are free to do or say what you want. This forum is owned by Fender and they have rules which we are to abide by. You don't like the rules? Go somewhere else. You break the rules? Fender kicks you out. Bye-bye, end of story. You don't like what I did? I don't really care. Go ahead and add me to your foe list. You are probably already on mine. Toppscore is gone and I say good riddance.
