Back in July of 2012 you were supposed to be able to buy shares of FENDER stock, but it got delayed. I think it was July 12th. Does anyone know why the IPO was pulled and when FNDR shares will go on sale?

Did the Facebook collapse scare them? It shouldn't because Fender has real products people buy! Facebook doesn't. I was so excited about getting to buy some Fender shares but it isn't happening and we are now almost 60 days out from the original offering date.

Yes. Facebook put the dimmer on the market.
I read that there is a Fender IPO pull-back to re-group for another time.

Here's a thread I started back in July that pretty much covers the whole issue.

Went poking around and came across this:
http://www.usatoday.com/money/markets/s ... 56356626/1

The article is dated July 20th, so I guess they're still waiting.

I've got the money.
But, I heard there will be no trading of shares.

Honestly, I don't see this being a good move for Fender at all. Honestly, even if the market was stronger. Fender is Fender. How much bigger or higher can they go? You can only get so big before someone wether it's the government or being picked away by multiple competitors, or simply the reality of overextending yourself, steps in? I'd think given the worldwide economic woes Fender would be scaling back lines and offers and returning to a more core product line. Sticking with the proven formula of quality affordable instruments. Since there are fewer people spending money on instruments you need to tighten your focus. IPOs, the way I understand them, are a good move for a company looking to cash in so they can funnel those funds to move forward. I just don't see how this could help someone who is already at the top of the heap. Though, obviously I'm not privy to Fender's business plans.

The IPO was pulled by Fender the day before it was due to list. The company cited market conditions and uncertainties especially in Europe for the decision. On the back burner for now.

Back burner it is.
Was not the stock to be purchased
a type of stock that would not get dividend
and one could not trade it. Do I have that right.
Or was that another stock like the Green Bay Packers
or the Boston Celtics or Harley Davidson?

Fender was expecting that the Communist Chinese and other Asian market would substantially grow, but with the current economic shrinking of the foreign markets, they deferred until the world economy improves.
