Read your owner's manual for the proper use of the effects loop.

Welcome. I am not a dedicated amp-man , but i prefer putting my pedals between the guitar and amp input. That could be altered , depending on what effect you are up to be using . Delays and modulation effects could be taken from preamp out into power amp . But OD's ,always in front , IMHO

+1 overdrives, distortions, fuzz before the preamp, all time based effects ok to run into effects loop, or for some preamp out to power amp in.
