Dragging the Hubby of 31 years to this place next week for a couple day vacation
http://www.slipperynoodle.com/
Wanted to go somewhere and listen to some live blues and with the price of gas currrently its only about 3 hours away. Looks fun but Im hoping someone else has been there and has good things to say..I prefer NOT to hear Hubby mention I had a bad idea for the next 31 years lol

Good Call.....
Unfortunately for me.... Had I known about the Noodle while stationed at Gruesome Grissom back in 75 ( was between Kokomo and Peru ) it would have made for a much better time.
My recollections of Indianapolis are mixed.
One unpleasant one was arriving at Bush stadium for a 12 hour concert and immediately having some jerk point a 44 in my face complaining of the noise we were making with our 6-pack Cuda's..
Much more fun was hitchhiking 60 miles in a snowstorm to the arena to see Led Zeppelin, sleeping in the bus station afterwards with the Hoboes and returning to the base only to be written up as AWOL... ( I thought my friends had left without me, only I had left before them. That's what happens when you're 18 and impatient :? )

Come to think of strange experiences, Peru was the 1st ( and only ) time I saw Kiss on their 1st tour, they played this dirt floor Circus tent hall.....You just had to be there to understand the definition of Bizarre......

Believe me, I took every opportunity every weekend to go to either Chicago for Blues or anywhere within reach that had great bands, concerts or whatever...

Sounds like a great time, we have about 20 plus years to go  before we hit anywhere close to that mark..

Only question is.....Will I then be endlessly humming

" .......They're coming to take me away...They're coming to take me away... "

My parents were 35+ years before sadly an irreversible bridge was crossed.
We have our issues at the moment, the economy has not at all helped the stress factor, especially in light that I'm self-employed, But I start a new venture on Tuesday and steady income looks like the norm for a while...

All I know is that we made a commitment for as far as our imagination could take us and I'm not about to jump ship because of challenging times.....nuff said....

In the meantime..." Good On Ya " .... I'm always impressed by a couple who are together as one thru many of the not so easy times throughout the decades... 8) 8)
