Thank you for posting Mike and keeping the Forum in the loop. Glad that you Bros and a Sister apparently got to spend some quality time together. I love seeing these friendship threads, there are so precious few of them, and, knowing that Forum members try to find time to meet and share good vibes with one another is a big smile for me.
Happy Birthday Doc! Hoping that one of these times I can join you all and wish all of you a heartfelt happy birthday in person!
Love,
Rollie (SBLS)

The welcome mat is out for you as well.

I sent Hop an email after we spoke yesterday, Doc, but still no response. Not a good sign.

Sending positive vibes and major mojo to him and all others that decided to weather the storm on the Gulf coast!

It is always awesome to hear that members here are having get-togethers. I just had coofee with a former Forum member from Hungary (don't remember his forum name) couple weeks ago in downtown Reykjavík. He just fulfilled his dream of coming to Iceland, he was doing some volunteer work for some enviromental group and exploring Icelandic entertainment.

You're on my bucket list for travel destinations Nonni. I have Arne Saknussem's map!

I can see that clacier from my hometown in nice wheather even though it is almost 125 km (77,7 miles) away. Jules Verne alomost managed to make up an Icelandic name. Arne is the danish pronounciation of the Icelandic name Árni and Saknussem is not Icelandic or Ol'Norse far as I know. :)
And you Doc would fit well in with all the celebrities (including Tom Cruise and family, Morgan Freeman, Russell Crowe, Charlise Theron, Emma Watson, Ben Stiller and etc.) that have been visting (working in) Iceland this year. I am looking forward to the headlines in the local cossip 'zines: "ZZDoc seen partying in downtown Reykjavík and climbing Snæfellsjökull".

I wracked my brain trying to remember the name of that glacier during the flight but couldn't. Is therea Scartaris or was that a fiction of Verne's? Verne is the reason why I spell the shortened version of my given name as such. Well here's to shaking your hand out there one fine summer day.

Happy Birthday Doc!

The weather here in New England has been stunning this past week!
You picked a great time.

Not only that, but we hit the tides timetable just right for that part of the coast. When the tides go out in Ogunquit they expose a very deep beach front that's refreshed with every cycle. It's wise to look ahead at that data when planning a vacation there which will include the beaches.
