Another of my favorite Epis... my baritone. Stupidly sold this one while trying to fund the purchase of my Gibson (coming up in a few posts, LOL) because I wasn't in a bnad at the time that was playing stuff where a baritone was useful... I wish I still had it now, but no big deal. I can actually tune my PRS down almost as low and it sounds great, so in a pinch, I can cover the need...

This was probably my favorite Epi LP I ever had... if not my second favorite, but I don't have any pics of the other one. Limited edition (Musician's Friend exclusive) natural finish, flame maple LP Custom. The only Custom I've ever owned, aside from the fake one I have now, which I don't count. (It's a "Les Paul COUNTERFEIT according to the truss rod cover, LOL!)

I'm not certain, but I think I traded this one in towards drum equipment, probably cymbals.

Believe it or not, the photos don't do this one justice... this is quite possibly the most beautiful Les Paul I have EVER seen in person, if not the most beautiful I've ever seen period. 2008 LP Traditional... I had this thing on layaway for like 4 months... paying on it every day with tip money from my second job delivering pizza, plus whatever I could get selling off cheap guitars, LOL! It played amazing, and sounded like a dream... but I just couldn't get it to stay in tune on stage to beat hell, and I absolutely refused to spend a dime on upgrading anything out of necessity on a $2,200 guitar. So I traded this and the honeyburst Epi above for my Singlecut Trem, and I've been a PRS man ever since. :D

Not much I can say about this one, except what I told the wife was my reason for having to have it in the first place...

"It... has... THREE... NECKS. Three. 25 strings. 6 pickups. 72 frets. On three necks."  8)

Image

Image
It was... heavy.

I'll bow out for now with a shot that sorta breaks the rule of the thread, since
I still have the green fake LP and the blue squier strat... but it's the only shot I have of both my Tele, and the Cream Squier Strat I bought specifically to smash at the end of the last show we played in the band I was in at the time... I knew the band was done after that gig, so I wanted to go out with a bang. We did.

Also making a cameo is the second Mesa cab, which I have since sold, so I'm down to only 1 at the moment. And yes, everything you see in this picture gear-wise went with me to that last show, and saw stage time. In a 75 minute, 14 song set.

Image

There were a fair amount more, but I'd have to dig for pics of some, and others were never photographed. I've also had a few Parker Flys, a couple cool Ibanez guitars, including a PRS style carved top doublecut and an artcore jazz guitar... a couple flying Vs, an epiphone doubleneck SG, a few more Les Pauls... I couldn't even begin to post a full list off the top of my head, LOL! I apparently have a hard time holding on to guitars, I'm always a few hundred bucks short for the next guitar I want. It's almost like I rent or lease guitars instead of buying them, considering I'm never smart enough about it to make money or break even on them. Although, I think I'm finally pretty set on a few keepers... My USA PRS guitar and my two Fender Jazz basses aren't going anwhere any time soon. I guess that's a start... :)

Wow, MacGyver, that's a bunxh of ex-guitars you listed here.

I laughed about the "rather renting guitars"-thing, ha ha ha.
It really looks like it, though.

And that's probably less than half the list... I think last I counted, I've owned pretty close to 50 guitars over the past 16 or 17 years... and I only own 7 total at the moment. 3 electric guitars, 3 basses, and an acoustic. :o

LOL... I wish I had half as many of those...

I did have a fair share of hotties in my early 20's while I was the frontman in Lift (6) Eighteen, but not many since... A few came and went, and I've been with my wife for going on 9 years now.

I guess, unlike my many guitars, there's just nobody interested in taking her off my hands...

Here is one that I actually have pics of...

Image

It was a 62 Reissue Tele MIJ...Great guitar...I do mis that one.

The three others were a Les Paul Custom and a 62 Strat (back in the 70s, when I gigged steady, I miss the strat, but that LP weighed a TON!) and an Epi Les Paul Standard.

This is a 2003 Les Paul Standard Plus. I sold it because there were just soooo many physical problems with it. The longer I had it the more issues would reveal themselves. 2003 was part of Gibson's period of severe quality issues.

Image

This is a 1989 American Tele Plus Deluxe. It is rare due to the fact it has a Gold Sensor at the neck rather than a Blue from the factory. Could have been an oversight during assembly. Solder connections were examined several times by people more experienced than I and were deemed to be original. Unique or not I hated the pickups. This guitar was my first experience with silent single coils and I loved the quiet but I hated the tone. I sold it for $200 more than I paid for it but the young fellow who bought it has beaten it to hell. I jammed with him this past spring and I couldn't believe how much damage he'd done to it. It was in pristine condition when he got it.
