It's low enough quality to where it sounds like it should be played in, rather than around the campfire. Better mic eventually.

So the big question how are you liking acoustic so far? Sounds to me like you might be having fun! Different blisters than electric..

Trying to get used to the flat radius and smaller frets. It's an easy player, though. I've got probably 10 hours on it already.

That's quite nice...kudos. What gauge strings are you using on it?
See, acoustic rock not only is fun, but sounds good as well.
cheers,
Alex

Next make the jump to a classical. *thunk* *thunk* *thunk* WHY CAN'T I FRET ANY NOTES?

And that's on a La Patrie, and they have narrow fretboards compared to most classicals. It's like trying to cover a football field with your left hand. :)

I'm not a fan of classical. I probably won't ever play it.

And they feel like 12s.

But, thanks, guys. Really appreciate the feedback.

I'm impressed! That's a totally different style for you and your doing good! Playing a box will make you play in different styles and will make you more rounded player.

Keep at it man! :P

And learn House of the Rising Sun. I bet there are many old farts here that did.

Im also surprised that playing electric has made my acoustic playing better..I think I have relaxed my habitual death grip..Hou-tex is right doesnt matter what it is always good to shake it up a bit!

While that is a really good song, I just don't have that kind of skill :P I'd love to try, though.

Your sense of rhythm is improving.
As far as learning new songs and progressing as a player, there's still that elephant in the room that you are ignoring. You probably do have some talent. Why not find out?

Goodonya ...Mark.

Don't sell yourself short....it's only 5 chords and you don't have to start off with the arpeggios!
I think that you can do it, and it's a great song to sing along to.
cheers...
