I can't find a way to flag given threads (only, not a whole forum) that I want email on every new post.

If you post a comment on a thread you're watching you'll get email notifications of new posts to that thread.

The post doesn't have to be anything profound or add info about the topic -- "this is an interesting thread", "the guitar in the picture in that post is very pretty", something like that.

You don't even have to post.

Click on a thread to open it. Above each thread is a gray row with various options. At the left is a link that says "Subscribe Topic". Click it and you will be subscribed. If you are already subscribed to that thread it will say "Unsubscribe Topic". Click it and the obvious happens.

I just experienced that this grey line just appears when you're logged in
with - those options . Never thought of that
