Has anyone had any experiences or first hand knowledge of Shine guitars?

I know they’re Korean and that the company does a lot of OEM work for such makers as Peavey, Ibanez, and Epiphone. Saw one online that looked beautiful and was offered at a great price. I was curious if anyone here had any helpful insight on this brand.

Thanks.

P. S.,
I'm a tried and true Fender girl...nothing will ever replace the love for my Stratocaster
(had to add that...she gets jealous real easy like).

Wow! Seriously!?! No one has heard of these things?
Not sure if that's a bad sign or if I found a gem...probally the later.
Well, I appreciate the non-input, kids.

Hi

Ive been to a few guitar fairs in the UK where someone has been demonstrating Shine guitars and the've been available to buy.

Never held one but from what ive seen and heard they are good quality, value for money instruments. If the build is consistant with those ive seen then id say buy em.

Cheers.

Hi M*. I don't know 'em so I went looking. I found this website:

http://www.shineguitars.co.uk

Boy, that has to be the least informative website I've seen for a while! Still, you couldn't accuse them of being pushy, so there's that to say for them.

Then I found this. Not much more helpful:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shine_Guitars

It's all screaming budget brand, isn't it?

Care to show us a link for the one you're interested in? Maybe someone'll have something useful to say...

Cheers - C

Im no help whatsoever on this either..but I really have to actually hold a guitar to decide if I can bond with it or not Ive tried some really expensive ones you couldnt pay me to own and some inexpensive ones that had "it" I will be curious however to see if you end up getting one!

whenerv ive seen these in small local shops they've never been the best or most expensive guitars. ive never picked any up, but i would expect them to be much like the multitude of other "just above bottom rung" guitars.

Thanks for all the input, kids. With money being more scarce than pop stars that actually sing, I’m not sure I’m ready to shell out any of my cash on a mystery guitar with a pretty face, but I was curious about them. Here’s a link that I just came across while floating through the Interwebs one night… http://www.amazon.com/Shine-No1002-Limi ... m_sbs_MI_7 (that one really caught my eye, as you can see…she’s pur-tee)…then this lil’ number http://www.amazon.com/Shine-Nt-as-Semi- ... 77-7863267

You gotta admit, they are sweet looking guitars, but God only knows how they actually sound or play. All I was able to learn on my own is that this company, Shine, has or had done work for Peavey, Ibanez and Epiphone guitars, yet very little else. I figured at those prices, it might be worth the gamble, but I’m not the gambling type. Besides, I’m too much a tried and true Fender gal to go outside the tribe. Hell, I’m too much of a snob to even settle for a Squire.

Thanks again for the feedback. I was just curious if anyone here had any first hand experiences, is all.

Agreed - they look purdy :D But as you suggest - that is not enough to bond with it ( that also makes sense between humans  )

True. Though I'd rather try my luck on a guitar than a human.
